Q. I would like you to share something about yourself with our readers.

I am like girl next door. My father was in army, he is retired now, when i was doing graduation in commerce i was passionate about doing MBA, as i was passionate about becoming a businesswoman, ICICI ceo Chanda kochar was my inspiration, after completing my MBA i have done job as professor in various colleges, but after marriage i gave up all to look after my family, writing for me was like i love it, but never thought of making it my career, whenever something came into my mind, my hands started to shivering until i write that on a paper, my husband came to know about this, and he gifted me a laptop and said, “do whatever you want to, i am with you”.

Q. How did you come up with the idea of writing this genre?

Genre actually I never thought to right in a particular genre, whatever comes to my mind can be a fiction or nonfiction, depends upon from where the idea has came, what the situation in which idea has came, and for whom am i writing,if we talk about this book Diva, its inception took place when my little cute daughter was in a bathtub, looking like a fish, sudden click to my mind to write a story for her, then its obviously will be a fiction story for children. then for several days i use to think about whole idea, characters, names of characters and places etc. and made a story frame, then i write it.

Q. Where did you find the inspiration to write this book?

As i said, when i saw my 10 months old daughter sitting in a bathtub, she was palying with water, looking like a fish, from the day she came in my life, i always want to write something for her, the moment i saw her in bathtub, my mind stuck to it and suddenly Diva the fairy fish character came to my mind, i frame a fictitious story around Fish Diva and result is here in the form of this book.

Q. What exactly does your book convey?

Basically, this book conveys three things, first thing is “not only love, but friendship also makes you immortal”,

second thing is, “if your love is true, no one can stop you to meet, not even Death”

third and core thing of this book is, “evil never wins, it can be powerful for sometime, but at last only GOOD AND TRUTH wins”

rest it’s a juvenile fiction, but relates all ages, i mean, if you are a child you can enjoy its ocean world story, if you are  a youth you will love its story of love and friendship and if you are little aged you can connect to your children/grandchildren by reading this book with them.

Q. What all was going in your head while penning down this book?

While writing this book, i lost in the world of fairy fish, blue ocean, love story of Diva and Aaron, friendship of Taurus, Tisca and Diva, as i was writing i was feeling so connected that i started to cry when writing an emotional track of the story.

Q. How much time you used to commit to this book?

The completion of book took me nearly 2-3 months. Mostly I used to devote my maximum time to my little daughter and her needs..

Q. Was there any moment you backed off from the idea of writing a book?

No, never, i was very much sure to complete it, this was for my daughter, i was mad about writing this, so no question of backoff arise.

Q. How do you handle the criticism that comes towards your way?

I really don’t care about them, i just close my eyes and say “go to hell all” and return back to my work, these magical words really work for me, but yes i will always welcome criticism towards my writing, so that i can improve myself, personal criticism i really don’t care.

Q. How was your experience with Bluerose throughout the publishing of the book?

It was a good experience. Since it was my first book, I came to know a lot of new things which will definitely help me in my future endeavors. i really  appreciates the work Bluerose team done on my book, looking forward for more projects to work with.

Q. How would you like to advice budding authors?

Hard work is the key to success. Budding authors should choose their area of specialization. They should not hide their writing skills and continue to write regularly without hesitation—even if it is not published or acknowledged initially. It takes lot of time and efforts to get oneself acknowledged and accepted among readers. Don’t lose heart unless you firmly believe that you are not cut out for writing.
