Q. I would like you to share something about yourself with our readers.
Being an Army officer wife, I got the opportunity to travel to different places and also to gather experience from observing and interacting with varied people from these various regions. These experiences also helped me in pursuing my passion of writing to some extent. During my early and mid years of life , due to commitment to my husband and kids, I did not get time to write at that time but later on all went well and , I thought I should start writing and so have been writing on variety of topics.
Q. How did you come up with the idea of writing this genre?
Degradation of our values and customs and western influence on institution of marriage amongst our youth made me write on this genre.
Q. Where did you find the inspiration to write this book?
As I said earlier, I was deeply impacted by degradation of social values of our new generation esp. towards marriage and was inspired to pen my thoughts about how marriage is such a strong institution as compared to western concept of live-in.
Q. What exactly does your book convey?
To respect and value the rituals of marriage KNOT and its solemnization.
Q. What all was going in your head while penning down this book?
I was observing that our younger generations or millennial as we call them are so much drawn towards the new concept of Live-in Relation and its become so normal for them to have such a relationship and feel trapped in a “marriage” that I felt , is important for me to express that marriage is foundation to us Indians and that we should not adopt western thinking blindly and try to understand the reason for our ancient traditions and rituals

Q. Was there any moment you backed off from the idea of writing a book?
Q. How do you handle the criticism that comes towards your way?
It is always welcome as helps to know the different concepts of different people on the subject of the book.
