Q. I would like you to share something about yourself with our readers.

Writing is not my hobby but my passion. If there is anything in this world, making me happy, that’s my love for reading and writing. It is a kind of healing therapy for all the emotional stresses, getting for any reason. I have been writing journals since my high school days and started writing poems and short stories when I was doing B-tech. It was very difficult to get time for writing after marriage, and with a hectic office schedule, but your strong willpower, uncounted efforts and true prayers can change the entire scenario of your life to fulfil your open-eye dream. Hence, I finally come up with this novel.

Q. How did you come up with the idea of writing this fiction?

I always wished to write a love story because every love story is different and unique; it inspires millions of people and touches millions of hearts. Everyone falls in love at least once in his or her life. The protagonist Sakshi studies in an engineering college of Greater Noida. Her story raises a question for everyone who falls in love with someone or whom someone loves crazily, “Is everything actually fair in love?” “Does your love for someone allow you to make any offensive step to get her, without comprehending what she wants?” If someone has a mistaken belief that another person loves him and he has right to do anything, so I would add a note here that it is no more love, it becomes a crime.

Q. Where did you find the inspiration to write this book?

Last year, I decided to write a novel, and I was looking for an inspiring story. One day, I noticed a statement on progressing news ticker that one girl had committed suicide because she was stalked, and blackmailed by someone. That news unknowingly dragged my attention towards it. I googled the term stalking and perceived that over 18,000 stalking and eve-teasing cases were registered in last three years, only in India. I realized it was not just happened with one girl; 18000 are those who raised an FIR, but there are many others who don’t have the courage of raising their voices.

Q. What exactly does your book convey?

Q. Through the story, I focus on the problem of stalking, which is very common, nowadays. Many girls may know how to tackle it, but yet many others are scared of being stalked. They prefer to be quiet instead of raising their voice. Through the story, I try to highlight the problems of stalking, and how badly it affects a woman’s life. In the final few chapters, I present the various solutions to deal with this menace before it ruins any girls’ life. Love is simply a name of care and the way you understand each other without saying. I am sure the story will touch many of the hearts and will surely remind them of their loved ones.

Q. What all was going in your head while penning down this book?

After shaping two of the characters, Sakshi and Rajat, I was thinking that love is the most beautiful feeling in the earth and the readers must feel the essence of true love. Hence, I imagined one more character, Kabeer. Just like me, readers too will feel and visualize that not only a coin, love too, has its two sides. The feeling of true and innocent love will be enthusing the readers, and they will be feeling eerie with an obsession of getting someone.

Q. How much time you used to commit to this book?

I wish I could commit my entire day to the book that was practically not possible. I could barely manage two hours a day and finished writing this book in a year.

Q. Was there any moment you backed off from the idea of writing a book?

The book is not just a book for me. It is my way to live my dreams. I never thought of backing off. Sometimes, I felt frustrated or de-motivated but at that moment, my husband was always there to support and to encourage me. So, there was not a single percent chance to step back without pinning down the final word of my book.

Q. How do you handle the criticism that comes towards your way?

Most of the persons in your surroundings criticize you when you are moving towards your dream. Many of the times, they de-motivate you and become an obstacle in achieving your dreams; I always prefer to ignore such persons. I just try to be in touch with those who encourage and support my dreams like my husband, my parents and my uncle. They were always my strength throughout the journey.

Q. How was your experience with Bluerose throughout the publishing of the book?

It was always a great experience at every step. It is an amazing experience when you see growing up your dream in front of your eyes.

Q. How would you like to advice budding authors?

Never stop dreaming, never stop writing, believe in yourself and stay away from all the negative vibes, which tries to be with you at every moment. If you believe in yourself the people, criticize you today, will follow you tomorrow.
