Balbir Singh is the author of – Alvida Tanaav – a book that teaches us how to have a control on our day-to-day problems. I had the chance to interact with him. Here is an excerpt from the conversation:

Q. I would like you to share something about yourself with our readers.

I was born and brought up in a small village of Karnal, district of Haryana.  After post graduation in Agriculture  from HAU Hisar, I joined Sugar Industry and became youngest ever Head of Cane Department. I took a 5 year assignment in East African country – Uganda.  Back in India, I worked in top Sugar groups like Balrampur, Bajaj and DCM Shriram. Currently, I am in corporate office of DCM Shriram.
I have been fond of reading and have read 100s of books including self help books and biographies. Dan Brown is my favourite author.

Q. How did you come up with the idea of writing this genre?

During my professional  journey of life, I found most people are looking for effective communication, leadership skills, better human relations and most importantly stress management. For last twenty five years I also had been looking for answers of above questions.  I had a habit of making notes of things I found helpful. In fact I was looking for answers of problems for me but everything was so scattered.  There was no book available which could answer your questions.
That is how I worked for many years to come up with this book Alvida Tanao. This needs to be read slowly and underline the paras answering your questions.

Q. Where did you find the inspiration to write this book?

As I wrote earlier I was looking for answers to my own problems. I used to be guest faculty to a spiritual gathering and deliver lecture on stress management. The chief priest of that organisation inspired me to put all my studies together for benefit of other brothers and sisters. It took me three years to come up with the crisp script. I have not uttered even a single word which  has not helped in solving my own problems.  It is in fact all about the methods I used in handling my stressed life.

Q. What exactly does your book convey?

  1. It conveys formulae of success.
  2. How and why to think positive.
  3. Secrets of human relations, leaderships and best ways of communication.
  4. Need of spirituality in stress free life.
  5. Intricacies of Karma and destiny
  6. What motivates people best
  7. What is the most important lesson you should know.
  8. Reasons of stress and best techniques to overcome it.

Q. Was there any moment you backed off from the idea of writing a book?

Most difficult part was to keep the book below 200 pages and make sure it should be a complete guide to lead a successful and stress free life- come what may.

Q. How do you handle the criticism that comes towards your way?

A complete chapter has been dedicated in the book Alvida Tanao on handling criticism. Tell your self:
No one kicks a dead dog.
Opinion of your enemies is some times more close to truth than your own.
Take a note of criticism and review your facts.
There is always a scope of improving.
Be your own critic

Q. How was your experience with Bluerose throughout the publishing of the book?

It was lovely to have been associated with bluerose. Very helpful and Co – operative.

Q. How would you like to advice budding authors?

To all new authors I would advise to collect maximum facts  and information honestly before concluding any thing.
